The Mysuru Dasara emblem is an embodiment of the State festival (Nadda Habba) in itself. The emblem symbolises the iconic Dasara procession whereas the idol of the Goddess of the land – Sri Chamundeshwari, placed in a gllittering golden howdah, is carried on the back of a chosen elephant. The elephant itself is decorated in vibrant colours & is controlled by the Mahout, who can be seen seated in front of the Howdah. The colour Red captures the joy, fervour and also the devotion with which this festival has been celebrated since 1610. The Dasara emblem truly encapsulates the essence of the festival which is ‘One Festival, Many Experiences’.
