Air Service

The nearest international airport to Mysore is in Bangalore. Calicut in Kerala, Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu and Mangalore in Karnataka are the other cities which have nearest International Airports respectively. Mysore has a functioning domestic airport too! One can reach here via scheduled flights between Bangalore and Mysore that fly regularly during the Dasara season. More details about the same will be made avilable soon. One can easily reach Mysore from any of these locations through other modes of transportaion available as well.

Bus

Being well connected by road from all directions, one can travel to Mysore by bus without too much of a hassle. Regularly plying inter-state buses keep Mysore easily accessible from our neighbouring southern states of Tamil Nadu & Kerala. Apart form that, Mysore has a really good intra-city, inter-city and suburban public bus transportation. Buses run every 5 minutes on the Bangalore route, and there is a choice of both A/C and non-A/C vehicles. During the weekends, these buses are often full, so it is advisable to reserve a seat in advance.
